Absolute will of the people and personal understanding should be the primary consideration for the restructure of economics, government policy, health care, climate initiatives, and societal protocol. Yet, we hear from our leaders innuendo, double-speak, shallowness, and distraction as the elements of deployment in perturbation of dialog. What we seek is full ventilation of motivation, cause and effect, and projected results. What we get is a further emergence into the shadows.
Cryptocurrencies, alternative currencies, and digital currencies are now common financial instruments. The history of bitcoin is complicated, spawned out of a distrust of sovereign governments’ mismanagement of fiat currencies. There are now hundreds of millions of investors in cryptocurrencies exceeding $1 trillion in market cap. No such currencies, however, are used in universal transactions between governments. Now, governments are experimenting with their own fed coin. Treasuries argue that the purpose is for ease of use, efficiencies, and lower costs.
The real issue at stake is taxation of transactions. A non-government fed coin used across sovereign borders could allow transactions to escape the scrutiny of governments and avoid taxes. Governments can never allow this to occur. Further, cryptocurrencies, uncontrolled by governments, complicate, if not eliminate, the government’s ability to deficit spend. The true cost of debt is never properly explained to the public as a consequence of national economic health.
A new fed coin introduced into the economy as a major financial instrument will impact the profitability of banks and their ability to create loans. A further concern is the government’s desire to monitor every transaction, and, therefore, expand government surveillance. Argued as a positive is the fact that illegal transactions such as drug trafficking would be much more difficult for criminals. Lurking in the shadows is the unknown disruption of normal economic rhythms.
Proposed health care restructuring encompasses governments worldwide agreeing to a one world standard of health care. Vaccines, preventative medicines, and therapies become privileged to certain international pharmaceutical and health care providers. Little consideration is given to the individual’s self-determination on personal health. The public is told that standardization is in society’s best interest. Lurking in the shadows are the unknown maladies of experimental health care.
Regional conflicts between nations are erupting. Gaza fired 105 rockets into Jerusalem last night. Whatever the purported provocation over security complaints at the Temple Mount, the killing of innocent civilians is never responsible retaliation. Hamas is losing popularity among the Palestinian people. Israel’s economic growth provides jobs. Jobs lead to peaceful coexistence. Peace is not Hamas’s objective. To maintain control, they escalate situations into crises. Israel at the same time has not been able to form a ruling coalition in its government. Lack of long-term project execution authority has limited Israel’s ability to deal with its adversaries. Lurking in the shadows is the unfathomable suffering of families caught up in the ideological battle for control and power.
Congress is considering a $2.2 trillion infrastructure package supposedly to rebuild bridges, roads, railways, and airports. Over half the budgeted items have more to do with government services than infrastructure. Republicans claim the bill is too costly and will cause inflation. Neither party is totally open with the American public. Infrastructure repairs are necessary. The American public is perfectly capable of handling the information necessary to determine priorities. There is no need to hide pet government programs inside infrastructure appropriations. The Republican party is perfectly happy to deficit spend. They have little credibility in supporting their moral position on the inflation issue. Neither party truly states the intellectual position of their policy mandates. Lurking in the shadows is the burden of generational debt that must someday be paid or discounted at great expense.
As Rome and the world burn all around us, progressives prioritize federal voting law reforms as the next critical step to right the ship of state. Proposed reforms have less to do with voting rights than with party operations at the state level to harvest and facilitate votes. The technology exists, and is user-friendly enough, for all American citizens to be able to vote conveniently and without imposition. True voter participation as a responsibility of being a citizen can be implemented without ballot harvesting, unregulated voter assistance, or mismanaged universal mail-out ballots. Lurking in the shadows are people of mischief caring less for election integrity than for election manipulation.
In this day and age, the world’s reemergence from COVID will pivot on economic stability. Many governments outside of Europe, China and the United States, are desperate for cash, cash flow, and restart investment capital. Out of critical need, these governments will turn to whatever solution provides short-term relief for their economic pain. For some countries, long-term economic planning is beyond their grasp of reality.
Paramount to the human spirit is the freedom of the individual to determine his or her own destiny, the freedom of the family to determine their own core values, and the freedom of the city to determine government policy that nurtures and enriches the individual and the family morals. Totalitarian orders, whether sovereign or worldwide, never can accept the individuality necessitated by freedom because standardization of society is the core requirement for sustaining dictatorial control.
The coming Great Reset must encompass the faith that, in the collective wisdom of individuals resides the collective good for society. Full disclosure of every area of policy must be held inviolate in the genesis of the discussion of solutions. Only in the trust of perfected transparency can decisions be reached with full complicity, ownership, and, therefore, responsibility accepted by every citizen.
Any emergence into the shadows will result in the loss of freedom and a darkness from which we may never escape.
